Starmer: I will always defend peaceful protests
London, May 15 (Hibya) - United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer accused the organizers of the planned "United Kingdom" march of spreading hatred and division.
United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer addressed the line between democratic rights and far-right activities, emphasizing the country's societal values.
Expressing his belief in the right to protest and his criticism of the march organizers, Starmer stated: “I will always defend peaceful protests. However, the organizers of the ‘United Kingdom’ march are spreading hatred and division.”
Drawing attention to the measures taken to prevent extremists from entering the country, Starmer said: “We have already blocked visa applications because far-right agitators wanted to come here and spread their extremist views.”
Sharing his views on the general character of the country, Starmer concluded his statement by saying: “They do not represent the decent, fair, and respectful Britain that I know.”
