Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said, in a statement made during the EPP Summit following the European Council meeting in Brussels, that they discussed ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East and Ukraine, combating irregular migration, and continuing the fight against human trafficking. Tajani stated that the competitiveness of European industry should be strengthened through bureaucratic simplification and added that they had agreed on greater coordination regarding the Multiannual Financial Framework. He emphasized their goal of building a stronger, safer, and more citizen-focused Europe.
