Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara emphasized the importance of gradual steps taken to ensure economic stability and increase social welfare.

Stating that improvements in the wage system will continue, al-Shara said, “We continue to improve the wage and salary system to ensure that citizens, both workers and retirees, can live a dignified life.”

Referring to the scope of the new legal regulations and the number of people affected, al-Shara stated, “From liberation until the signing of Decrees No. (76) and (68) of 2026, all workers benefited from general raises, and more than 861,000 people benefited from qualitative raises in vital sectors.”
