Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei stated that Iran shares the grief of the Chinese people and government.

Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, Baqaei said, “The coal mine explosion in Qinyuan county of China’s Shanxi province, which claimed the lives of many workers, is extremely tragic.”

Conveying Iran’s message of solidarity and condolences to the victims’ families, Baqaei concluded his statement by saying, “We extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to the government and people of the People’s Republic of China, especially to the families of the victims.”
