Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

The Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), during its 137th regular session, approved Qatar's bid to host the 2028 World Maritime Day celebration.

Following the decision, Qatar's Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Permanent Representative to the IMO, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Thani, thanked the member states for their confidence in and support for Qatar.

It was stated that Qatar aims to organize a high-quality event that will contribute to the IMO's objectives while strengthening international cooperation and the exchange of expertise within the maritime sector.

World Maritime Day, organized annually by the IMO in cooperation with the host country, brings together government officials, representatives of the maritime industry, international organizations, academia, and the private sector.

The event will address the challenges facing the global maritime industry, future opportunities, sustainable maritime transport, and emerging technologies. Qatar's hosting of the event is expected to support the country's objectives of enhancing international maritime cooperation and promoting sustainable transport.
