Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Qatar has delivered a formal protest note to Iran over the attack on the Qatari-flagged tanker Al Rekayyat while it was sailing near the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack constituted a serious violation of the security of international maritime navigation, threatened global energy supply security, and represented a clear violation of international law.

The protest note was delivered by Ibrahim bin Yusuf Fakhro, Director of the Protocol Department at Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to Mohsen Mohammad Ghanei, Iran's Deputy Ambassador in Doha.

The note stated that Qatar strongly condemned the attack and expressed concern over threats to regional stability and international maritime navigation.

Qatar called on Iran to end practices that jeopardize regional security and to refrain from actions that could endanger international maritime shipping and global energy supplies.

The statement also noted that Qatar reserves all of its rights under international law, requested an urgent explanation regarding the attack, and called for the necessary measures to prevent similar incidents from recurring.
