Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand held a meeting with UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband.

Commenting on the meeting, Anand said, “Canada and the United Kingdom have a close relationship built on strong people-to-people ties and longstanding cooperation.” Anand said she and Miliband discussed shared priorities, including geopolitical developments and international security, and noted that they remain committed to continuing the dialogue between the two countries.

Anand said she looks forward to meeting Miliband again in Ireland next month, adding that she had just learned that their time studying at the University of Oxford had overlapped.
