Zelensky said that change in Hungary is progressing step by step, stating, “We see that our neighbor’s transformation is moving forward step by step, and this gives Hungarian society greater confidence.”

Zelensky said it is important that these changes also have a positive impact on the fundamental values and principles of the European Union, emphasizing the need to strengthen good-neighborly relations with countries in the region.

Zelensky said, “We congratulate Hungary and the new President Andras Baka on his election. We wish him every success and state that we are ready to cooperate on the basis of mutual respect and shared benefit.”
