Zhytomyr, September 12 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said he attended the opening of EDUHUB in the Ukrainian city of Zhytomyr, adding that the centre aims to improve the skills of preschool educators.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that investing in education is one of the most powerful ways to build the foundations of Ukraine’s future.
Tsahkna said that EDUHUB, established in Zhytomyr by the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV) with the support of partners, had been opened and aims to improve the skills of educators working in early childhood education.
Tsahkna noted that during the opening ceremony they had to move to a shelter because of an air raid, but educational activities continued there as well.
Tsahkna said the events demonstrated the reality faced by children in Ukraine because of the war, adding that Ukraine needs support to achieve a just and lasting peace.
