Ahmed: Economic cooperation between Ethiopia and Malaysia will be strengthened
Addis Ababa, September 12 (Hibya) - Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali met with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit, where they discussed cooperation in investment, tourism, and renewable energy.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali held a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim במסגרת the BRICS Summit. Abiy Ahmed Ali stated that during the meeting, evaluations were made on developing relations between the two countries following the visit paid to Addis Ababa in November 2025.
Abiy Ahmed Ali said the talks focused on enhancing cooperation in investment, tourism, renewable energy partnerships, and preparations for COP32.
Abiy Ahmed Ali also noted that opportunities to benefit from Malaysia’s experience in industrial parks, productivity, and manufacturing were discussed, adding that there is potential for a stronger economic partnership between Ethiopia and Malaysia in the areas of investment, technology, skills development, and sustainable development.
