NATO: We have strengthened deterrence and defence on our eastern flank
Brussels, September 12 (Hibya) - NATO announced that over the past 10 years it has strengthened its deterrence and defence capabilities along its eastern flank and is ready to protect the region if necessary.
In a statement, NATO said that the Alliance has strengthened its deterrence and defence capabilities along its eastern flank over the past 10 years.
The statement noted that more military forces, enhanced air and missile defence systems, and surveillance and vigilance activities such as Eastern Sentry continue to be maintained.
NATO stated that it is ready to protect its eastern region if necessary.
