U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he met with senior representatives attended by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Israeli Ambassador Mike Huckabee, and Lebanese Ambassador Michel Issa.

Providing details about the meeting in the Oval Office, Trump said, “The meeting went very well! The United States will work with Lebanon to help Lebanon protect itself from Hezbollah. The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will be extended for 3 more weeks.”

Referring to the diplomatic schedule for the coming period, Trump said, “I look forward to welcoming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in the near future. It was a great honor to take part in this historic meeting!”
