U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized the importance of the partnership, highlighting UFC’s global reach that extends far beyond the world of sports.

Referring to the organization’s core values, Rubio stated, “UFC has become a global phenomenon by embracing values that resonate far beyond the Octagon: excellence, discipline, opportunity, and merit.”

Explaining the steps of the cooperation with the Department of State, Rubio said, “We are proud to launch a new Sports Diplomacy partnership with UFC, and we are grateful to Dana White for hosting the signing of our memorandum of understanding.”
