According to a statement by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah.

The call addressed steps to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries, diplomatic initiatives aimed at reducing regional tensions, and joint coordination.

Sheikh Mohammed reiterated Doha’s support for diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive agreement that would ensure freedom of navigation in the region and help achieve lasting peace.
