Abiy Ahmed Ali: BRICS can turn cooperation into shared value and sustainable growth
Addis Ababa, September 12 (Hibya) — Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali said he attended the 18th BRICS Summit held in India and stated that bringing together the capital, technology and markets of BRICS countries could create shared value.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali attended the 18th BRICS Summit held in India under the theme “Building for resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability.” Expressing his pleasure at attending the summit, Abiy Ahmed Ali drew attention to the capital, technology and markets available among BRICS countries.
Stating that bringing these elements together could create greater value, Abiy Ahmed Ali said: “The opportunity is to bring them together, create more value, and ensure that value is created where the resources are.”
Abiy Ahmed Ali said Ethiopia is ready to build partnerships in minerals, renewable energy and its growing industrial base, stressing the need to strengthen resilience in systems. He noted that artificial intelligence should serve the needs of the African continent, predictable debt solutions should be advanced, and climate action should be linked to economic transformation.
Abiy Ahmed Ali said cooperation among BRICS countries should contribute to shared value and sustainable growth, adding: “Together, BRICS can turn cooperation into shared value, resilience and sustainable growth.”
