China's software sector revenue increased by 10.3% in the first five months of the year compared to the same period last year.

According to data released by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the software and information technology services sector maintained steady growth during the first five months of the year.

The data showed that from January to May, China's software sector revenue rose by 10.3% year-on-year to 6.245 trillion yuan (approximately $920 billion). During the same period, the sector's profits increased by 2.2%, while exports grew by 12.8% to reach $27.65 billion.

Revenue from software products increased by 6.9% year-on-year, accounting for 21.8% of the sector's total revenue. Revenue from information technology services also recorded double-digit growth.
