Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced a new funding program aimed at developing local communities, stating that investments in a wide range of areas, from hospitals to public transportation, will create sustainable employment opportunities.

Emphasizing the importance of communities, Carney said, "Local communities are the heart of Canada. That is why we launched the Strengthening Communities Fund."

Addressing the scope of the investments and their contribution to employment, Carney said, "Across the country, we are building hospitals, public transit, bridges and community centers. This will support more than 40,000 jobs a year and ensure that our growing communities have everything they need to thrive."
