Zelensky: Russia wants to continue the war
Kyiv, October 29 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at least 19 people had been killed and 56 others, including 10 children, injured in Russian attacks on the cities of Dnipro, Chernihiv and Kremenchuk, calling for increased pressure on Russia to stop the attacks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the death toll from Russia's attack on a commuter train in Dnipro had risen to 14. He said two 15-year-old girls were killed in a drone attack on a residential area in Chernihiv, while three people lost their lives in an attack on an apartment building in Kremenchuk.
Zelensky reported that 56 people, including 10 children, were injured in the three attacks and extended his condolences to the families of those killed. He stated that the attacks targeted civilians and noted that Russia carried them out while a humanitarian aid operation was ongoing in Oleshky.
Arguing that Russia wants to continue the war, Zelensky said the international community must take strong steps to achieve significant de-escalation and increase pressure on the aggressor. Zelensky emphasized that Russia must end the war for peace to be achieved.
