Tsahkna: We must increase pressure on Russia
Tallinn, October 29 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said at least 17 people, including children, had been killed in Russian attacks across Ukraine, calling for tougher sanctions against Moscow and increased support for Ukraine, particularly in air defense.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that at least 17 people, including children, had been killed in attacks carried out by Russia across Ukraine today. Tsahkna said the attacks had targeted a train platform in Dnipro, a busy city center in Chernihiv and an apartment building in Kremenchuk.
Arguing that Russian President Vladimir Putin was responding to peace efforts with violence, Tsahkna said pressure on Russia must be increased to compel it to abandon its war objectives and engage in serious peace negotiations.
Tsahkna called for tightening sanctions, further isolating Russia internationally and strengthening support for Ukraine, particularly in the area of air defense.
