Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced in a social media post that he had arrived in Brussels with his team to attend the European Council meeting and hold talks with his partners.

Zelensky stated that he would meet during the day with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, French President Emmanuel Macron and the prime ministers of Poland, Denmark and Belgium. He also said he would meet with King Philippe of Belgium and, the following day, hold talks with the presidents of the European Council and the European Commission, as well as the prime ministers of Hungary, Finland and Sweden.

Zelensky stated that European countries want the war to end, emphasizing that achieving this requires increasing pressure on Russia and providing Ukraine with more defense support.

“It is especially important now to act together to protect lives,” Zelensky said.
