Zelenski: 2 killed in Russian attack in Kyiv
Kyiv, October 12 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenskiy said that 2 people were killed and 9 injured in a Russian drone attack on an apartment building in Kyiv.
Ukrainian President Zelenski said Russia targeted an apartment building in the capital Kyiv with a drone and that there were casualties in the attack.
In a statement on social media, Zelenski said Russia continued to target residential buildings, adding that according to initial reports 2 people were killed and 9 injured in the attack in Kyiv.
Zelenski said first responders extinguished the fire following the attack and offered condolences to the families and loved ones of those who were killed.
Zelenski argued that the attack showed the need to increase pressure on Russia, saying that Russia was prolonging the war and continuing its attacks. He said that despite a U.S. proposal aimed at ending the war, Russia continued its attacks and called for stronger steps to force Moscow to end the war.
