Ukrainian President Zelenski said in a statement on his social media account that Ukrainian forces carried out attacks on 16 targets in Russia within 24 hours.

Zelenski said that, in addition to oil facilities, the attacks targeted air bases, a missile unit and infrastructure that he said was used in attacks against Ukraine.

The Ukrainian leader also reported that attacks were carried out against a military enterprise and Russia's logistics infrastructure.

Zelenski pointed to the importance of targeting the oil sector, which he claimed Russia uses to finance the war, saying, “The war must return to where it came from.”

Zelenski said that Ukraine was responding to Russia's attacks and noted that they aimed to increase the cost of the war for Russia and reduce the country's capacity to carry out attacks.
