In a post on his social media account, Dar offered his condolences to the families of the babies who lost their lives and said he was deeply saddened by the incident.
Dar announced that, on the Prime Minister's instructions, a comprehensive investigation would be launched immediately to determine the causes of the incident.
Dar said the strictest measures would be taken against those found responsible as a result of the investigation, adding that the safety of children must be a priority.
