Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar hosted Zeljka Cvijanovic, the Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Jerusalem.

Referring to the content of the meeting and the relations between the two peoples, Saar said: "We discussed the importance of the ongoing and deepening ties between our peoples."

Saar noted that the situation of religious minorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina was also discussed, concluding his statement by saying: "We also addressed the need to protect Christian minorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Serbs are true friends of Israel and the Jewish people!"
