Radman’s Message on Croatia’s Statehood Day
Zagreb, May 30 (Hibya) - Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman published a message on the occasion of Croatia’s Statehood Day.
In his message marking Croatia’s Statehood Day, Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman highlighted the country’s path to independence and the importance of national unity. Radman stated, “Statehood Day is an opportunity to proudly remember the historic moments that shaped our free and independent homeland.”
In his message, Radman noted that the 36th anniversary of the establishment of the first democratically elected Croatian Parliament was being celebrated, saying, “This historic moment marked the beginning of a new era in the life of the Croatian people.” Emphasizing that the War of Independence, democracy, and international recognition are the fundamental values of the Croatian state, Radman added, “Our freedom and democracy are enduring values upon which the Croatian state was built.”
Radman stated that Croatia today contributes to peace and security as a member of the European Union and NATO, saying, “Croatian diplomacy played an important role in securing international recognition.” Addressing Croatians living abroad, Radman said, “Your dedication to the homeland and your achievements are a source of pride for us,” while noting that the contribution of Croats living in Bosnia and Herzegovina is “the lasting strength of our shared unity.”
