US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth met with Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Richard Marles and Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi.

Speaking about the meeting, Hegseth said he was pleased to be working together with Australia and Japan.

Highlighting cooperation among the United States, Australia and Japan in the fields of security and defense, Hegseth stated that the three countries act according to the principle of “peace through strength.”

Hegseth also emphasized that the United States, Australia and Japan continue their shared commitment to maintaining regional and global stability.
