Qatar’s Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Al Khulaifi participated in a panel session titled “Negotiating Peace in the Middle East: Lessons from the Frontlines of Diplomacy,” held as part of the Warsaw Security Forum in Poland.

According to a statement by Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, the session addressed regional developments, mediation initiatives and opportunities for cooperation between Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Europe.

Al Khulaifi emphasized Qatar’s commitment to dialogue and mediation for the peaceful resolution of disputes. He said keeping communication channels open between the parties contributes to de-escalation, resolving differences and creating the conditions necessary for sustainable solutions.

Highlighting the importance of political support for mediation initiatives, the parties’ commitment to implementing agreements reached, and sharing international responsibility in support of peace, Al Khulaifi also commented on developments related to Iran.

Al Khulaifi said diplomatic efforts should continue in coordination with regional and international partners, adding that building trust through reciprocal and simultaneous steps would contribute to reducing tensions, safeguarding freedom of navigation and strengthening regional security and stability.

Al Khulaifi also addressed developments in the Gaza Strip, stressing the need to consolidate the ceasefire, implement agreed commitments, facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, and support recovery and reconstruction efforts.

Al Khulaifi said lasting peace requires a credible political perspective that meets the aspirations of the Palestinian people, adding that the reconstruction of Gaza is an international responsibility requiring coordinated efforts and the mobilization of support.
