European Parliament (EP) President Roberta Metsola visited Volkswagen facilities in Bratislava and spoke about the importance of the automotive sector for Europe’s economy and strategic position.

Referring to the strength of the sector and the production hub in Bratislava, Metsola said, “The automotive industry is one of Europe’s greatest industrial and economic strengths. It is of strategic importance to our competitiveness, prosperity, and role in the world.”

Praising the plant’s manufacturing success, Metsola concluded her message by saying, “Volkswagen in Bratislava is a symbol of excellence and a powerful example of what Europe can achieve when innovation, talent, and industry come together.”
