Rome, September 5 (September) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni thanked Mozambican President Daniel Chapo for his good wishes and said the historic ties of friendship and cooperation between Italy and Mozambique should be strengthened.

Meloni said, “Italy and Mozambique are bound by a deep and historic friendship in which Italy has always stood by Mozambique.”
Meloni said they have aimed in recent years to make cooperation between the two countries more concrete and comprehensive, noting that the Mattei Plan is an important part of this process.
Meloni said that under the plan they want to “build opportunities for growth, development and prosperity together.”
Meloni expressed confidence that the partnership between Italy and Mozambique will continue to grow stronger and achieve even more significant results.
At the end of her post, Meloni noted that Chapo is the tallest head of state in the world and jokingly added, “I’m afraid, unfortunately, I won’t be able to compete for that title.”
