Rome, May 1 (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni issued a message on the occasion of May 1 Labor and Solidarity Day, emphasizing the concrete steps taken by the government to improve the conditions of Italian workers and its determination to fight exploitation.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated in her remarks on the meaning and significance of the day that politics must align with the realities of the labor market.
Drawing attention to the value of labor, Meloni said: “May 1 celebrates those who carry Italy forward every day with dedication, sacrifice and dignity. And it is also the day when politics must meet reality.”
Referring to the government’s actions and future goals, Prime Minister Meloni said: “Since we have been in government, we have chosen to do this: every year we have taken concrete measures to improve the conditions of Italian workers. We have done this by reducing the tax burden, providing employment incentives and improving workplace safety.”
