Brussels, June 12 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib met with US Special Representative for Human Rights Kajsa Ollongren to discuss humanitarian diplomacy and human rights policies.

Referring to the main topics discussed during the meeting, Lahbib said: “We exchanged views on the European Union’s human rights policy, compliance with international humanitarian law, and support for accountability and justice.”
Addressing future partnership efforts, Lahbib concluded her statement by saying: “We explored ways to strengthen humanitarian diplomacy through closer cooperation.”
