Kassem says Hezbollah remains committed to a comprehensive ceasefire
Beirut, June 22 (Hibya) - Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Kassem stated that any Israeli military presence on Lebanese territory is unacceptable.
According to CCTV and remarks broadcast on the local Al-Manar television channel, Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Kassem said that they oppose the existence of security zones or Israeli military positions inside Lebanon.
Kassem also accused Israel of demanding full compliance from Hezbollah while maintaining its military freedom of movement within Lebanon and attempting to reinterpret the November 27, 2024 ceasefire agreement.
Kassem stated that any possible agreement should be based on the complete cessation of Israeli attacks, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, and the deployment of the Lebanese Army south of the Litani River. He added that Hezbollah remains committed to a comprehensive ceasefire but will not accept Israeli violations.
