Costa stated that intergovernmental conferences had been held this week with Montenegro, Ukraine, Moldova and Albania, noting that progress had been made in the accession process through reforms.
Emphasizing that the EU must prepare to welcome new members, Costa reported that a strategic assessment of EU enlargement and internal reforms had been conducted at the end of the day.
