According to CCTV, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Sergey Shoigu on the sidelines of the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives held in New Delhi, India.

The meeting addressed strengthening comprehensive strategic coordination between China and Russia, implementing the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, and further developing bilateral relations.

Minister Wang Yi stated that China is ready to deepen cooperation with Russia and highlighted the importance of joint efforts that will contribute to the development and rejuvenation goals of both countries. He also emphasized that the BRICS mechanism serves as an important platform for promoting multilateralism, justice, and global peace.

Shoigu, for his part, noted that high-level relations between Russia and China have been strengthened through continuous contact between the two countries' leaders and stressed the need to enhance mutual trust. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining a common stance against external interference in security affairs.

The two sides agreed to deepen cooperation within the BRICS framework and strengthen coordination to preserve global stability.
