Brazilian President Lula inaugurates a new hospital in Rio de Janeiro
Brazil, March 13 (Hibya) – Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva announced that a federal hospital in Rio de Janeiro has been renovated and expanded in order to improve healthcare services.
President Lula stated that today they inaugurated the Trauma Center of the Andaraí Hospital and that this project was carried out in cooperation with the Rio municipality.
According to the statement, a total investment of 607 million Brazilian reais has been made as part of the plan to restructure federal hospitals. The project aims to restore services, improve the quality of healthcare, and reduce hospital waiting lines. The initiative was carried out within the framework of the “Agora Tem Especialistas” program.
