According to a statement from the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting addressed Ukraine's readiness to support efforts to combat large-scale wildfires in Belgium, the intensification of Russian attacks on civilians and the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense.

The parties also discussed Black Sea security and the European Union's 22nd package of sanctions against Russia, particularly measures targeting Russia's defense industry.

The statement said Belgium ranks among the top 20 countries providing support to Ukraine. Belgium has provided more than 1 billion euros in military assistance this year, allocated an additional 100 million euros to the PURL Initiative and increased the number of F-16 fighter jets supplied to Ukraine.

Belgian development agency Enabel is also carrying out reconstruction projects worth 150 million euros in the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. As part of these efforts, mobile boiler units and generators have been supplied to help restore energy supplies following Russian attacks, while support has also been provided to Ukrainian veterans.
