Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum together with his wife Mehriban Aliyeva.

At the opening, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan delivered a speech, while President Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave the official opening address of the forum.

In his speech, Erdogan emphasized that the normalization process between Türkiye and Armenia is being carried out in coordination with Azerbaijan. He also stated that Türkiye’s strong support for the Middle Corridor initiative continues.

Referring to the Organization of Turkic States, Erdogan noted that its international influence would be increased and highlighted the rotating presidency to be taken over from Azerbaijan.

It was reported that this year’s forum is held under the theme “Managing uncertainties while planning the future” and hosts more than 500 high-level participants from over 150 countries.
