Additional security measures to be taken in Sofia ahead of Levski-AEK match
Sofia, August 17 (Hibya) - Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior announced that additional security measures will be taken to ensure public order ahead of the Levski-AEK Athens match to be played at the Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia on August 18.

According to a statement from the ministry, buffer zones will be established around the stadium to separate supporters of the two teams for the match, which will begin at 10:00 p.m. Home supporters will enter under the supervision of a security company, while away supporters will be admitted by police teams.
Stadium entrances will open at 8:00 p.m. Checks will be carried out on individuals banned from attending sporting events, as well as those carrying prohibited items such as firearms, fireworks, knives, batons, cans and bottles. The ministry said minors will be admitted to the stadium only when accompanied by an adult and upon presentation of a previously completed declaration.
The security company will be responsible for the safety of the match, while Sofia Police will ensure the safety of away supporters and deploy police teams to support the organizer when necessary.
