Zelensky: Patriot missiles should protect people, not sit in storage
Kyiv, August 1 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for increased international support against Russia's attacks, saying Patriot air defense systems should be supplied to Ukraine and sanctions against Russia should be expanded.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on Russia's attacks against Ukraine.
In a post on social media, Zelensky said Ukraine is monitoring international responses to the Russian attacks, stating: "We see every leader and every country responding to Russia's attacks against Ukraine."
Zelensky argued that the most effective response to Russia is additional support for Ukraine. "The only truly strong and fair response that achieves its goal and helps people is additional support for our state," he said.
He stressed that Ukraine needs Patriot air defense systems. "There are Patriot missiles in the world. What matters now is that our partners make the political decision to provide the necessary packages," he added.
