Zelensky opposed the easing of sanctions against Russia
Kyiv, April 19 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that easing sanctions against Russia negatively affects the course of the war and called on the international community to increase pressure.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made an assessment regarding the easing of sanctions against Russia.
Zelensky stated that easing sanctions against Russia does not align with realities on the ground, saying, “This situation strengthens the illusion that the Russian leadership can continue the war.”
Sharing data on the attacks, Zelensky said, “This week, Russia launched more than 2,360 attack drones, over 1,320 guided aerial bombs, and around 60 missiles at our cities.”
Referring to energy revenues, Zelensky said, “Every dollar paid for Russian oil is a resource used for the war.”
Zelensky noted that due to the easing of sanctions, Russian oil can once again be sold on the international market, which finances attacks against Ukraine.
Emphasizing the need to increase pressure on Russia, Zelensky said, “Russian tankers must be stopped and oil exports must be reduced.”
