Zelensky: Ballistic missiles remain the biggest threat
Kyiv, August 23 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed participants of the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) Summit in Kyiv and emphasized the importance of joint defense against the ballistic missile threat.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky provided information about his address to representatives of the Nordic and Baltic countries during the NB8 Summit held in Kyiv.
Highlighting the support of the participating countries, Zelensky said, “Today, I addressed the participants of the NB8 Summit taking place in Kyiv. The Nordic countries and Baltic states are among those that stand by us most firmly and consistently in defending our freedom, our nations and our Europe.”
Assessing the security situation in the region and aerial threats, Zelensky said, “You all know very well what is happening in Ukraine and what Russia is preparing for this autumn and winter. Ballistic missiles remain the biggest threat. We are doing everything we can to deal with it.”
Referring to cooperation and momentum in joint defense projects, Zelensky concluded his statement by saying, “I am grateful to all of you who are working together with us through the FREYJA program. And we need progress in FREYJA every week; our joint ballistic missile defense must become effective as soon as possible.”
