German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul stated that Türkiye is facing increasing tensions in neighboring countries amid the crisis in Iran.

Wadephul said that in Ankara he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan, to discuss how they could work together to develop a common path to prevent further escalation, end conflicts and strengthen regional stability, and added:

“Germany is determined to deepen its strategic partnership with Türkiye. Together we aim to strengthen security and defense cooperation, develop economic ties and establish a reliable framework to overcome our common challenges.”
