Wadephul discusses EU enlargement and economic cooperation during Slovenia visit
Ljubljana, October 2 (Hibya) - German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul met with Prime Minister Janez Jansa and Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon during his visit to Slovenia, discussing the European Union's enlargement toward the Western Balkans, economic cooperation and the competitiveness of European industries.
German Foreign Minister Wadephul shared a post on his social media account regarding his engagements in Slovenia.
Wadephul said he met with Slovenian Prime Minister Jansa, describing Germany and Slovenia as reliable European Union partners. Noting Slovenia's role as a bridge between Central and Southeastern Europe, Wadephul highlighted the strong economic ties between the two countries, particularly in the automotive sector.
Wadephul also said he met with Slovenian Foreign Minister Fajon and thanked her for the meeting and coordination. Noting that the two ministers had met in Montenegro the previous day, Wadephul said the European Union's enlargement toward the Western Balkans and support for competitive European industries were shared priorities.
