Tsahkna: Europe’s support for Ukraine is unwavering
Kyiv, March 31 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Marcus Tsahkna emphasized that support for Ukraine will continue and called for increased sanctions against Russia.
Estonian Foreign Minister Tsahkna met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, and Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko at the informal Foreign Affairs Council meeting held in Kyiv.
Emphasizing that Europe’s support for Ukraine will continue with determination, Tsahkna said: “Our message is clear; Europe’s support for Ukraine is unwavering. Russia’s increasing attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure require stronger measures, tougher sanctions, and continued pressure on the Kremlin.”
Drawing attention to war crimes, Tsahkna stated: “What happened in Bucha revealed the true face of this war. Peace is not possible without accountability for these war crimes.”
Stressing the need to increase support for Ukraine, Tsahkna said: “Ukraine urgently needs more military, financial, and political support. Strengthening air defense, accelerating reconstruction, and advancing critical decisions such as the €90 billion loan are of great importance. Our commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity is absolute.”
