Trump: We secured a better deal for the United States
Washington, July 11 (Hibya) - US President Donald Trump announced that a more favorable agreement for the United States has been reached regarding the Gordie Howe International Bridge between Detroit and Windsor, Canada, adding that the bridge will open as scheduled on July 27.
US President Donald Trump announced in a post on social media that a new agreement had been reached regarding the Gordie Howe International Bridge connecting Detroit with the city of Windsor in Canada's province of Ontario.
Trump said he considered the previous agreement unacceptable and stated that they had secured a "much better and fairer" deal for the United States.
Trump noted that, thanks to the new agreement, the Gordie Howe International Bridge will open as planned on July 27. He thanked the Canadian government and expressed his hope that the bridge would bring success to both countries for many years to come.
