United States (US) President Donald Trump accused some media organizations of “publishing misleading news” about Iran in a post shared on his social media account.

In his post, Trump claimed that Iran’s military capacity had been largely destroyed, that all vessels belonging to the Iranian navy had been sunk, that the country’s air force had been rendered ineffective, and that Iran was facing a severe economic crisis.

Trump also argued that reports suggesting Iran had been militarily successful reflected “an approach working against the US” and stated that such publications were “giving Iran false hope.”
