Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani met with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Pakistan's capital Islamabad.

According to a statement from Syria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the meeting was held as part of al-Shaibani's visit to Pakistan.

The meeting addressed bilateral relations between Syria and Pakistan and ways to develop cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

The parties also assessed ways to strengthen relations between the two friendly countries in a manner that serves their common interests. It was stated that the sides discussed issues aimed at developing existing cooperation in different areas.

Syrian Foreign Minister al-Shaibani praised Pakistan's constructive role in strengthening regional peace and stability during the meeting.
