Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha issued a statement on delivering humanitarian aid to civilians in Oleshky.

Sybiha said Ukraine had found ways to deliver food to its citizens in temporarily occupied Oleshky, adding that Russia was reported to have shot down drones carrying the food and seized humanitarian aid sent to starving civilians.

Sybiha said, “We will continue to find ways to reach our people. But humanitarian aid should not have to be delivered by drones under fire.”

Calling on international organizations to secure access to Oleshky, Sybiha urged that the necessary conditions be created for civilians to obtain food and medicine and to leave the area safely.
