Sybiha: Russia has been placed on the list of suspected parties for the first time
Kyiv, May 29 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that they welcomed Russia’s inclusion on the list of suspected parties responsible for conflict-related sexual violence in the UN report published by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
Referring to the annual report published by Guterres, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said they welcomed Russia’s inclusion, for the first time, on the “list of suspected parties” involved in conflict-related sexual violence.
Sybiha noted that this decision constitutes a second “list of shame” for Russia, in addition to the list on which it had previously been placed due to violations against children. He emphasized the importance of accountability for war crimes and called for increased international sanctions and further isolation of Russia.
