Stubb discusses Moldova's EU path and situation in Ukraine with Sandu
Helsinki, October 2 (Hibya) - Finnish President Alexander Stubb said he discussed Moldova's path toward the European Union, the situation in Ukraine, reconstruction efforts and Russia's hybrid activities with Moldovan President Maia Sandu.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb announced that he met with Moldovan President Maia Sandu on the sidelines of the Helsinki Security Forum.
In a statement on his social media account, Stubb said the meeting addressed Moldova's European Union accession process, the situation in Ukraine and reconstruction efforts, as well as Russia's hybrid activities.
Stating that Moldova, which borders Ukraine, has witnessed the consequences of Russia's war of aggression at close range, Stubb noted that the Helsinki Security Forum is an important platform for discussions on security policy.
